Privacy Policy

Markaz Al Fawzaan ("we," "us," "our") operates the website markazalfawzaan.com and provides the Arabic & Deen Mastery Program. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. By using our website or enrolling in our program, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who We Are

We are an online Arabic and Islamic studies institute operated from Mauritius. For any privacy question, contact us at support@markazalfawzaan.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

Name and email address (when you enroll, subscribe, or contact us).
Account login details for accessing the program.
Billing information processed through our payment provider (see Section 4) — we do not store your full card details on our own systems.
Any information you include when you message us for support.

Information collected automatically when you visit:

Device and browser type, IP address, and approximate location.
Pages viewed, time spent, and how you arrived at our site.
Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide access to the program and manage your account.
Process payments and recurring subscription billing.
Respond to your support requests.
Send you service-related messages (enrollment confirmations, billing notices, cancellation confirmations).
Send you educational or promotional emails, where you have not opted out.
Measure and improve the performance of our website and advertising.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and chargeback misuse, and to defend ourselves in payment disputes.
Comply with our legal and tax obligations.

We rely on the following legal bases (where the GDPR or similar laws apply): performance of our contract with you (providing the program), your consent (marketing, non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving our service), and legal obligation (tax, accounting).

4. Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. When you pay, your payment and billing details are handled directly by PayPal under their own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment, the transaction amount, your name, and email — but not your full card or bank details. PayPal's handling of your data is governed by PayPal's Privacy Statement at paypal.com.

5. Third Parties We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:

PayPal — payment processing and dispute handling.
Lovable and Firebase — website hosting, our enrollment/account system, and secure storage of your account data.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — we use the Meta Pixel and advertising tools to measure ad performance and reach relevant audiences. This may involve sharing hashed identifiers (such as your email in encrypted form) with Meta to match you to an ad account, and receiving aggregated performance data back. Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's own data policy.
[Email provider] — to send service and marketing emails.
Analytics providers — to understand site usage.
Authorities or advisors — where required by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (including payment disputes).

Some of these providers are located outside Mauritius, including in the United States and the EU, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising (including the Meta Pixel). Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are used where permitted, and you can control or refuse them through your browser settings or any cookie banner we display. Refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent you from accessing the program.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your account and billing records for as long as your account is active and afterward for as long as needed to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-defence obligations. Payment and transaction records are typically retained for several years to comply with financial regulations and to defend against chargebacks. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from marketing) at any time.
Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Mauritius, the Data Protection Office).

To exercise any of these, contact us at support@markazalfawzaan.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Note that we may need to retain certain records even after a deletion request where the law requires it — for example, transaction records needed for tax or dispute purposes.

9. Marketing Emails

If we send you promotional emails, every message includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but does not stop essential service messages (such as billing and cancellation notices) while your account is active.

10. Minimum Age and Younger Learners

Our program is open to learners aged 15 and over. By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 15 years old. Learners under the age of 18 should enroll with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. In some countries, data protection law sets a minimum age for a young person to consent to the processing of their own data online (this varies between 13 and 16 depending on the country). Where a learner is below that age in their country, a parent or guardian must provide consent on their behalf, and by enrolling such a learner you confirm you are the parent or guardian giving that consent.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 15. If you believe someone under 15 has enrolled or provided us data, contact us at support@markazalfawzaan.com and we will remove it.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use of our website or program after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Markaz Al Fawzaan — Arabic & Deen Mastery Program

Please read this policy in full before enrolling. By completing payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to every term below.

14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you to enroll with confidence. If you're on our Monthly or Annual plan and Markaz Al Fawzaan isn't the right fit, email us at support@markazalfawzaan.com within 14 days of your first payment and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked.

This guarantee applies only to a student's first payment on the Monthly or Annual plan. It does not apply to the one-time Skip Fee or Lifetime Access plans, or to renewal/recurring charges after your first 14 days.

1. All Sales Are Final

The Arabic & Deen Mastery Program is a digital product. Upon payment, you receive immediate and complete access to prerecorded lessons, curriculum materials, and program resources. Because the product is delivered in full at the moment of purchase, all payments are final and non-refundable. This applies to every plan — monthly and annual — without exception beyond the two narrow cases described in Section 10.

2. The Nature of What You Are Buying

You are purchasing access to digital educational content, not a physical good and not a guaranteed outcome. Access is granted the instant your payment clears. Beyond the 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee above, we do not offer additional trials or money-back periods. Outside the 14-day window above, this is a deliberate and disclosed term of enrollment, not an oversight.

3. No Refunds for Change of Mind or Non-Use

You will not receive a refund, in whole or in part, for any of the following reasons:

You changed your mind after enrolling.
You did not log in, did not begin, or did not complete the program.
You found the pace, format, or content different from your expectations.
You no longer have time, or your circumstances changed.
You forgot you were subscribed or forgot to cancel before a renewal.
You believe you "didn't use it enough" to justify the cost.
You selected the wrong package (see Sections 8 and 9).

Enrollment grants you access. Whether you use that access is your responsibility alone. Non-use is never grounds for a refund.

4. Recurring Subscriptions — Express Authorization

Monthly plans renew automatically at the stated price and interval until you cancel. By subscribing, you expressly authorize Markaz Al Fawzaan to charge your payment method on each renewal date, at the disclosed amount, until you cancel. This authorization is recorded at signup with a timestamp. Each renewal is a valid, authorized charge for continued access — not a new or unexpected one.

5. Cancellation Stops Future Billing Only

You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard. We provide a self-service cancellation tool so that cancellation is always within your control. However:

Cancellation prevents future charges only.
It does not refund the current billing period.
It does not provide a prorated or partial refund.
Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Failing to cancel before a renewal date is not a billing error and does not qualify for a refund.

6. Annual Plan

The annual ($100/year) plan is paid in advance for twelve months of access, granted immediately. It is non-refundable in full once access is provided, including for any unused portion of the term, and including if you cancel partway through the year. You are paying for the availability of access across the term, not for time elapsed.

7. Discounted (50%) Plans — Loss of Discount on Cancellation

If you are enrolled on a discounted plan (including any 50%-off offer), that discounted rate is tied to your continuous, uninterrupted subscription. The discount is a benefit of remaining enrolled — not a permanent price.

If you cancel a discounted plan, the discount is forfeited permanently.
Should you choose to re-enroll later, you will do so at the then-current standard price, not the previous discounted rate.
We are under no obligation to reinstate, honour, or re-offer any expired or cancelled promotional pricing, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
Cancelling to "pause and rejoin cheaply later" is not possible. The discounted rate ends with the subscription.

8. Packages Are Separate — No Direct Switching Between Live and No-Live

The program is offered as distinct, self-contained packages: a Live Classes package and a No-Live (self-paced) package. These are separate products with separate curricula and separate progress tracking. They are not interchangeable tiers of the same enrollment. Because of this:

You cannot switch directly from the Live Classes package to the No-Live package, or from No-Live to Live. There is no "transfer" or "upgrade/downgrade" path between them.
To move from one to the other, you must cancel your current package and enrol in the other as a new enrollment.
All progress is reset to zero when you do this. Completed lessons, position in the curriculum, and any tracked advancement do not carry over between packages. You begin the new package from the start.

9. Choose Your Package Carefully — This Cannot Be Undone Without Losing Progress

Because switching resets your progress, you must be certain of your package choice before enrolling.

Choose the No-Live (self-paced) package only if you are 100% certain you cannot, or do not intend to, attend live classes.
Choose the Live Classes package only if you are committed to attending live sessions.

Selecting the wrong package is not grounds for a refund (see Section 3), and correcting it requires a fresh enrollment with a full progress reset as described in Section 8.

We strongly recommend reviewing the differences between the two packages before payment. Once enrolled, your choice stands, and changing it carries the consequences set out above.

10. The Only Exceptions

Refunds are considered solely in these two circumstances, and only with verification:

Verified duplicate charge — you were billed more than once for the same period due to a processing error. We will refund the duplicate.
Total, documented access failure — a technical fault on our side prevented you from accessing any part of the program, and our team was unable to resolve it after you reported it to us. Partial access, slow loading, or your own device/connection issues do not qualify.

No circumstance outside these two qualifies for a refund.

11. Contact Us Before Disputing a Charge

If you have any billing concern, you must contact us at support@markazalfawzaan.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. We resolve legitimate billing issues — such as the exceptions in Section 10 — directly and promptly. If a chargeback is filed without contacting us first, we will respond to your bank with our standard records — proof of authorization, access activity, and confirmation that self-service cancellation was available at all times. We’d much rather resolve it directly with you first.

12. Agreement

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this policy in its entirety, that you understand all sales are final, that recurring charges are authorized until cancellation, that any discounted rate is forfeited on cancellation, that Live and No-Live packages are separate products with no direct switching and a full progress reset if changed, and that refunds are available only in the two limited cases described in Section 10.
